Participants of the 12th International Netherlands Cancer Institute Head and Neck Symposium, are invited to join the second day of the Interventional Molecular Imaging workshop on April 11, 2015, which will be held at the Leiden University Medical Center, at a 25% reduced fee.
Attendants of the 12th International Netherlands Cancer Institute Head and Neck Symposium are hereby given the opportunity to get hands-on experience with new imaging techniques for sentinel node biopsy, as presented in Amsterdam by Nynke van den Berg on April 10th. The Leiden University Medical Center is located at only a 30 minute drive from Amsterdam and also easy accessible via public transport.
The Interventional Molecular Imaging Symposium will cover the (clinical) state-of-the-art in image-guided interventions and covers interventions in interventional radiology, radioguided surgery and fluorescence-guided surgery. Didactic activities are coupled to a number of hands-on sessions that will allow clinicians and researchers to experience hands-on what commercially available image guidance technologies have to offer and how they may be implemented in the routine clinical workflow.
Workshops provided by our industrial partners will provide access to the required hardware so that the participants can experience their role in image-guided interventions. During the event participants will have access to: i) (laparoscopic) fluorescence cameras, ii) gamma probes/cameras, iii) an optically tracked navigation system, iv) an ultrasound device with navigation option, and v) an actual surgical robot.
